Plant Local on National Tree Day - Bindaring Wetland
Event description
Bassendean Preservation Group and The Friends of Bindaring Wetland extend a warm invitation to all for the fourth annual wetland revegetation event in the Bindaring Park Wetlands.
BPG are partnering with the Friends of Bindaring Wetland to re-establish a patch of native shrubs at Bindaring Park.
Plants grown at our GroCentre nursery have been staged and are ready for you to plant.
The event offers a relaxed and easy planting experience, welcoming participants of all ages.
These plants will help to extend the reach of the streamlining project, which has been progressing down from Harcourt St over the last 4 years.
They’ll also be the start of some Quenda habitat in that part of the park.
Park on Anstey Rd (input 23 Anstey Rd into your GPS), near Carnegie St, follow the signs to the planting site
Tools will be provided
We’ll have some mozzie repellent and some gloves – but its a good idea to bring your own if you can
Be rewarded with morning tea when we’re done!
Remember to bring/wear mosquito repellent, gloves, a personal water bottle, gumboots, and wet weather gear, particularly if recent days have been rainy leading up to the event.
