Plant propagation workshop
Event description
Participants will learn a variety of propagation techniques such growing from seed, stratification and scarification, how to take cuttings, rhizomes and bulbs, layering, root cuttings and more! Learn about growing medias, how to make your own potting and cutting mixes, identifying common problems and how to deal with them!
4 hours - 9:00am - 1pm- light refreshments will be provided

Gareth Devenish has more than 20 years experience as an organic nursery operator and organic farmer/permaculturist. He holds a masters degree in Sustainable Agriculture and
has taught on a number of Permaculture Design courses around Australia. Gareth has operated nursery farms in a variety of climatic conditions ranging from the temperate
climates of Victoria through to the subtropics of NSW!
Workshop will be filmed and a copy of the video will be sent out to participants for future reference! Please dress for being outdoors; suitable footwear and layers that you can put on/off if the weather changes.
