#NationalTreeDay National Tree Day helps you connect with nature by planting trees and shrubs to improve our natural environment.

National Tree Day is a call to action for all Australians to put their hands in the Earth and give back to their community. Each year, it is time to engage in environmental activities that educate individuals about the world around them. It's a day to venture outdoors and get to know your community, and most importantly, to have fun!

PLANT WITH US – Randwick Council’s Greening Our City project is part of the National Tree Day celebrations. This year’s National Tree Day we ask you to join us on Sunday 1 August to start the celebration with action.

We’d love you to come along and help with the greening of our City! This year, we’re creating endless opportunities for you to get involved in planting trees and groundcovers. Bring your family, bring your friends, get your hands dirty and learn about the plants and how they help create important habitats for small insects, birds and even a few lizards.

We’re hosting a series of events aimed at increasing native and indigenous vegetation in Randwick City.

• SUNDAY 15 AUGUST - Pioneers Park, Malabar
• FRIDAY 17 SEPTEMBER - Arthur Byrne Reserve, Maroubra
• FRIDAY 8 OCTOBER - Heffron Park, Maroubra
• THURSDAY 11 NOVEMBER - Barwon Park, Matraville

**Please remember to wear sturdy shoes, a hat, long sleeves and long pants and Please be COVID SAVE and bring your own gloves and a water bottle. **
