Join us for an enriching planting event at Spring Plains NCR, part of the ongoing Spring Plains Watershed Repair Project led by Biolinks Alliance. This initiative focuses on restoring the heavily degraded box ironbark forests through various ecological interventions. Come and learn about this crucial project and the fascinating box ironbark forests. We'll be planting a diverse array of local indigenous plant species to help revive the area's once-thriving ecosystem.

What to Bring:

  • Attire:
    • Comfortable clothing suitable for outdoor activities
    • Long sleeves and long pants to protect from sun and insects
    • Sturdy, closed-toe shoes or boots
    • Hat and sunglasses for sun protection
  • Equipment:
    • Gardening gloves
    • Hand trowel or small shovel
    • Water bottle
    • Sunscreen
  • Other Items:
    • Snacks or a packed lunch
    • Insect repellent
    • Notebook and pen for taking notes about the project and planting techniques

Join us to learn about the project and box iron bark forests generally. We will be planting a wide variety of local indigenous plant species suitable to the site so as to bring back the diversity and structure that once held together a thriving ecosystem.
