Planting - Port Phillip Eco Centre and Yalukit Willam Nature Association

Join efforts to rewild the Yalukit Willam Nature Reserve – a key urban biodiversity corridor, featuring restored wetlands, native grasslands, and a growing mosaic of indigenous vegetation. Contribute to this ecologically significant site by planting trees and grasses and having the opportunity to learn from expert facilitators who will educate about local biodiversity and the cultural history of the site. These activities will be accessible for children and families, to encourage multigenerational participation. 

Please bring suitable footwear, your own gardening gloves, sunscreen and a water bottle. Refreshments provided.  

This planting location is facilitated by Port Phillip Eco Centre and Yalukit Willam Nature Association (YWNA). 

Where: Meet at 10am by Yalukit Willam Nature Reserve Shed, located next to the Elwood Bowls Club. Enter via the intersection of Glenhuntly Road and Nepean Hwy.  

Getting there: To and from Melbourne CBD this location is a 5-minute walk from the route 67 tram line. Parking available on New Street and Bent Avenue.
