Planting the Seed: Early Encounters with Art and Materials for Infants and Toddlers
Event description
Please join us for a dynamic professional development experience that brings research to life through an immersive exhibition focused on infants, toddlers, and the visual arts. Based on a recent multi-site study in Aotearoa, this exhibition shares powerful stories, images, and insights into how teachers are supporting infants and toddlers as capable, creative participants in artsbased learning. You’ll explore the findings through interactive atelier spaces, rich documentation, and reflective provocations.
Following the exhibition, the research team will present the project’s key findings and discuss implications for practice, highlighting how kaiako can design relational, responsive, and meaningful visual arts experiences with our youngest citizens. Whether you’re a teacher, leader, or researcher, this event will spark inspiration, deepen your thinking, and celebrate the wonder of early learning.
