Description

Have you ever dreamed of a gorgeous display of vibrant tulips blooming at your front door in the spring? Join Jacqueline from Phamily Peony Garden for an engaging, hands-on class on planting tulip bulbs.

You'll learn how to create a stunning container display that blooms in stages through the spring. Each participant will receive two 5-gallon planting bags, fresh potting soil, and 28 rare tulip bulbs featuring early and late blooming varieties from our collection of Double Peony, Fringed and Parrot tulips. You'll head home with two planted containers ready to bloom at different times in the spring.

Choose tulip varieties in your preferred color palette: orange, yellow, and red; pink, peach, and cream; or lavender, lilac and purple.

Instructor Bio

Jacqueline’s appreciation for flowers began quietly in her father’s garden, where her childhood afternoons were spent exploring and learning about blooms. This early curiosity shaped her creative path, leading her to study Fine Arts, develop an interest in psychology, and learn about Early Childhood Education. After finishing college, she chose to teach and support families as a certified parent educator through Parents as Teachers.

After the birth of her third child and the loss of her older brother in 2006, Jacqueline started nurturing her small garden, which, over time, grew into a half-acre field for hundreds of peony varieties. In 2012, she studied floristry at Filoli Garden under Anne Patrick and began making arrangements for local fundraisers and celebrations.

Today, Jacqueline grows specialty cut flowers that are not often available to florists. When she’s not with her family or tending her garden, she enjoys volunteering with Blossom Buddies, the Foothills Auxiliary, and Gamble Garden. Through sustainable practices and her homegrown flowers, Jacqueline hopes her floristry offers beauty and comfort to her community. Visit her website, Phamily Peony Garden.
