K Valley Public Planting Day
Event description
🌱 Public Planting Day – Join Us! 🌱
Come and be part of something amazing! Our Rotary Bay of Plenty Community Group ‘Footprints for Our Future’ project is planting another 5,000 native trees in the beautiful Kopurererua Valley – and we’d love your help.
Together, we’ve already raised over $2 million, planted more than 500,000 native trees, and developed an extensive programme of reforestation and wetland restoration. The Kopurererua Valley Rotary Centennial Trust is creating a true “Park for the People” – with 12km of cycleways and walkways, thriving native bush, rich biodiversity, and a place for everyone to enjoy.
Dress for the weather. Boots, warm clothing or sunblock and sun hats - and bring your own drinking water and a spade too if you have one.
Bring your families and enjoy a sausage-sizzle after the planting.
💚 Come along, get your hands in the soil, and help make this vision a reality!
