In this month's plant wisdom circle we will work with the spirit of the St. John's Wort, a bright beacon of sunshine medicine to celebrate the peak of Summer Solstice.

St. John's Wort helps us receive more light into our energy system, and step into the brightness of our own light. This plant often targets the solar plexus, and helps us stand more fully and confidently in our true identity.

St. John’s Wort has been worked with for at least 2,000 years for magical protection, clearing unwanted energies, and keeping away demonic forces.

It is said that no evil can co-exist in the same space when St. John’s Wort is present.

Last year, folks experienced: the medicine of accepting who they are fully, following their joy, seeing aspects of their identity and allowing themselves to be who they are without controlling themselves, a sense of watering the seeds of who they are, healing their relationship with fire, and a general sense of being deeply supported.*

Together we will honor the light and Solstice by creating ceremonial space to journey with St. John's Wort's medicine, and also do a special force-field meditation to surround those in need right now, particularly in LA and Gaza.

The group journeying space creates a strong container for the medicine of the plant to come through. As we share in the plant medicine via the tincture, we channel insights for ourselves, one another, and the collective. This ancestral practice of deep intuitive listening and dreaming together is such a potent and important gift to the Earth and ourselves.

These spaces provide the pivotal practice of trusting our intuitive inklings, and receiving validation of them within a community setting. Being in intentional space to honor and listen to the plants is an ancestral practice that helps us remember how to be in relationship with the forces of nature. It is a practice that is greatly appreciated by the plants, and it feeds our deep, soul-selves.

Amy Terepka is a bodyworker, earth medicine practitioner, priestess, writer, and teacher in Portland, OR. She has has been a student of the plants for close to 20 years, and has held ceremony and taught plant spirit medicine for the past 12 yrs.
