VCOSS consultation: Understanding NDIS 'Platform Providers'
Event description
'Platform Providers' refer to businesses that provide online platforms and online subscription services to connect workers with participants.
The NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission has established an inquiry into 'Platform Providers' operating in the NDIS market (for example: Clickability, Hireup and Mable).
The purpose of the inquiry is to learn more about participants’ access, experience and engagement with these platforms.
This is a terrific opportunity for NDIS participants to share insights that support quality and safeguarding, whilst providing flexibility and preserving participant choice and control.
Share your experience with the NDIS Commission and VCOSS
At the request of the NDIS Commission, VCOSS is hosting an in-person consultation.
We'd love you to come along, if you are:
- An NDIS participant, and
- You have used a 'Platform Provider' (at least once), and
- You're keen to share your views
To ensure each participant has their say, we're capping the size of the group to 15 people (if there are high levels of interest, VCOSS will liaise with the NDIS Commission about convening an additional session).
Prior to the consult taking place, we'll send you a consent form (along with the questions that will be asked on the day) that you'll need to sign and return.
Auslan interpreters will be provided and other access needs will be supported as required.
A light morning tea will be provided and, as a thank you for your time, each participant will receive a Visa debit card to the value of $175 at the end of the consult.
