Platypus Discovery at Organ Pipes National Park

Join us for a sunset event at the magnificent Organ Pipes National Park in Keilor North. Speakers from Friends of Organ Pipes, Upper Deep Creek Landcare Network and NatureWest will bring attendees on a journey of discovery about one of Australia's most extraordinary and elusive animals, the platypus.

Jackson's Creek flows through the park and is one of the few waterways close to Melbourne where platypus are found. Learn about how the creek supports wildlife, what is being done to protect the landscape and why platypus are an amazing and vulnerable creature.

As the sun sets, we will head down to the creek to search for platypus and other wildlife as these animals come out to forage and roam.
