PlatypusWatch Walk & Talk South Pine River
Event description
Join Wildlife Queensland PlatypusWatch for a morning walk along South Pine River, talking about the fascinating world of the platypus.
Ecologist Dr Tamielle Brunt will speak about their charismatic biology, conservation and importance in a freshwater system. She will also discuss habitat features that sustain these monotremes in the area and what you can do to help them.
After the walk, join Tamielle for a light morning tea to discuss the local platypus population or ask questions.
Please note that we may not spot a platypus on the day.
The event is capped at 40 people for a better experience, so get in quick.
Please bring a hat, sunscreen, a water bottle and a reusable coffee cup for morning tea.
