Event description
Play Date is a dance party for little people and their chosen families.
Join pop duo Turtle and Sugar Rush on their journey through colourful adventures and share songs about identity, body positivity, diverse families and the power of imagination.
Featuring original pop bangers like “Different”, “Frown to Crown”, “Fruit Time” and the instant classic “My Chosen Family”, this day doof disco, high energy music concert and dance party is for children aged two - seven and their parents / guardians and friends.
Sing along, jump around and learn Auslan inclusive dance moves.
It’s guaranteed to give you a rush and encourage you to come out of your shell.
But wait, there’s more…
Before the show, children and their accompanying adults are invited to share in a treasure trove of crafts, choreography and costume making in the Atrium.
One hour before the show you can come and create some fun props and costumes especially for Play Date including; your very own unicorn-sque gymnastic ribbon, a glitter crown fit for royalty and your own colouring-in map for Play Date adventures. You can also spend some time learning our Auslan inclusive dance moves we will share all together during the show.

Content notes
Play Date is designed for children 2-7 years old and their (chosen) families. Please note children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
The performance will include lighting and amplified sound. Please bring noise reduction headphones or any other assistance materials as required.
A quiet space will be available during the performance.
The performance will be documented via film and photography.
And finally, tickets are limited so if you can no longer attend please let us know so we can make the ticket available to others.
