Play Smart: Managing teen sports load

Are you juggling kids playing representative and/or multiple sports?
Understanding and managing training loads can reduce injury risks, boost performance when it matters, and support healthy teenage growth.Â
Join us for an informative and interactive workshop that will help you learn what load management is, and how to balance the demands of sporting commitments to support healthier, more resilient teen athletes.Â

The workshop will cover Mike's recent research on quantifying training loads in adolescent schoolboy rugby league players and the practical implications for athletes, their parents and coaches. Considerations for team and individual sports will be discussed.Â
All participants will be guided through a spreadsheet to complete individual training loads. Participants are required to bring a laptop computer.
Tickets are $20 per workshop with a 15% discount for 2 tickets or 20% discount for 3 or more tickets. One free child entry per ticket if joining an adult attendee - add name of child at Checkout.
