Play with Purpose: A Winning Mindset with Kayne Hammington | Ages 11-14
Event description
Join us for an inspiring and action-packed session with former Super 12 Rugby player Kayne Hammington. Attendees will learn to unleash the power of sport, not just for fitness, but for building confidence, resilience, teamwork, and a growth mindset.
Sharing real-life stories and exercises, Kayne will help young athletes explore:
Why they love to play sport and how that connects to their purpose
How to stay calm and focused under pressure
Why mistakes are part of learning and how to manage them in the moment
How to give their best effort, no matter the outcome
Parents are welcome too, come along and learn how to support your child’s journey in sport and life. This session blends coaching tools and exercises with emotional awareness, using the Te Whare Tapa Whā model to build strong, resilient young athletes.
Spaces are limited — book now and give your child the tools to thrive on and off the field!
Kayne Hammington spent 6 years in Super Rugby with the Highlanders, and later played professional rugby in Japan. He is now on a mission to combine his lived experience and formal psychology study to give kids the mental skills to thrive in sport, helping them find their purpose and potential while learning to manage both setbacks and victories.
This session is suitable for young athletes of all codes
