QUT Second year acting students present PLAYFEST.
Three plays directed by the students with support from Kate Wild, Mark Radvan and Andrea Moor.
Thursday June 6: 7.00pm
You Can’t Tell Anyone by Joanna Richards
It’s the end of school and Gwen is throwing a party. After an emotional year, her friends are keen to spend the night drinking, playing games, and arguing about literally everything. But when a party game spirals out of control, long-held tensions start to strain and snap. Are the friends messing with each other? Or is there a bigger threat pounding at the door?
Content warnings: contains flashing lights, strong language, antisemitism, homophobia, ableism, references to suicide and self-harm, sexual assault, and violence.

DNA by Dennis Kelly
Buried in the shadows of the English woods, a group of teenagers are hiding a horrible secret. Now they must learn to live with the consequences while questioning who to trust and who to follow. As tension mounts, their adolescent lives become a lawless game of life and death.

When They Go Low by Natalie Mitchell
When a fellow female student is humilated after a weekend gone wrong, Louise is determined to make a change and begins a feminist riot at her school. As she is harassed, bullied and belittled for challenging the status quo, the 15-year-old Louise wrestles with what it means to be a woman in the 21st Century.
Content warnings: Vulgar language, mentions of sexual assault, and sexism.
