Event description

Thanks to the City of Playford, The Playford Science Fair returns in 2023 on Sunday 26th February after a COVID-related postponement for several years and under new management!  The Science Collective is pleased to be offering two fabulous 3 hour sessions on the day with amazing science shows, engaging displays and plenty of hands-on activities to keep young family members busy for the entire session.

Be entertained by some magic tricks from the quirky Wipe Out Waste Wizard, sing along with Prof Flint of the Dinosaur University and don't miss Nitro Nat's latest spectacular science show.  The shows are complemented by a day of hands-on science fun with rocket making and launching, pinwheel creations, bridge building, marshmallow and spaghetti tower challenges and an electric circuit challenge.  Will Bugs n Slugs be there?  Of course!  No Science Collective event would ever be complete without the Slime Bar, guaranteed to ensure that every child can take home their very own (non-messy) slime creation. Techspace Learning will also offer an interactive robotics display and fans of Dr Who will be delighted to learn that there will be Daleks!

We know that with costs rising in many areas a day out with the family needs to be affordable.  So we have actually reduced the cost of tickets for this event with a family ticket available for just $24 (2 + 2 or 1 + 3) and all adults at the children's price of just $8.

There is a limited capacity at the Playford Civic Centre, so don't delay in booking your tickets now at www.thesciencecollective.com
