Playing with the Future

Imagination is a muscle best stretched together.

Regen Melbourne is on the lookout for wildly ambitious projects that can act as pathways to the regeneration of our city. 

Yet being tasked to imagine a possible and desirable future can sometimes feel hard. So this session is all about coming together, with lightness, to play with the future. 

To see what happens when we approach the future by ‘making’ it, not thinking it - and what happens when we do this as a group.

During the session you’ll be invited to participate in a series of exercises, using materials to imagine, explore and inhabit different futures. Then we’ll have a group conversation about how these future-focussed reflections can inform some potential big demonstrator projects for Melbourne’s regeneration. What will we see once we’ve stretched our imagination muscles and opened up our receptiveness to what is possible as a collective?
