Please People 'Freedom Blvd' Single Launch @ Cactus Room w/ Plastic Orchestra & Midnight Violet

Please People are bringing it all the way back to the Cactus Room! With support from Plastic Orchestra and Midnight Violet, we're all getting ready to fling you a boogie-soaked, flame topped cocktail, served with a generous garnish of Friend Funk! Also included is losing you're voice for a medically verified safe period of two days; recommended by 9 out of 10 bartenders on High Street!

The 8th of August, make sure you get on down to Thornbury. It’s the night we ask you all to come with us and celebrate the release of our next single “Freedom Blvd”. We’ve been so excited to share this with you since we returned to the studio.

A mainstay of our set since Please People first hit the scene, “Freedom Blvd” is a song we’ve forever been proud of. We’re yet to find a time we didn’t love playing it and seeing y’all get down. A high-energy funk extravaganza that we know gets your hips bopping and feet moving – and with a free sing-a-long included in every box!

Helping us shake up this dance floor concoction is the ever brimming:

Plastic Orchestra

Describing themselves as “a music collective using this band as an excuse to use all the music gear we have between us” their shows leave you with no doubt they know how to use that gear! Lush sounds, finger licking licks and some form of trance-like magic which vanquishes any notion to pull away. An experience worth getting down early for!

And here to help your cup overfilleth:

Midnight Violet

A folk rock group who can ground you like no other. With a heart-filled, earnest, love soaked jangle to the way they do what they do. Trust us, one listen to “Caught in the Middle” and you can’t escape the feeling that you’ve been friends for quite some time. You’ll walk away feeling so connected that you simply must know if they got home safe.
