This four week workshop series has been designed to act as a safe container for folks of all bodies, genders, abilities and disabilities, to come together to get curious, have a giggle, and connect deeper with their unique bodies and Pleasure.

Over a series of four weeks, participants will have the opportunity to get creative, learn about their bodies, connect with other folks in the queer disabled community, discover new and/or alternative ways to meet people, learn about and interact with a wide variety of sex toys and pleasure products, and ask questions they may never have felt safe to ask about Pleasure, dating, gender, and making sex accessible and customizable to your unique body and experience. Overall, our goal is to create a safe, cozy container for you to sink into, to give you the time and space you deserve to prioritize your body and your pleasure. And, we’ve got snacks!

Workshops will run for 2 hours in total, with a break in the middle and a 20 minute social time at the end. Each week will focus on a new topic/theme, structured to stand alone as well as to create a cohesive sex-ed package when combined. Week 1:

Tuning In: Getting Familiar With Your Sexual Self

Week One will focus on where you’re at right now, complete and whole and beautiful as you are.

With talking about our bodies, sex, pleasure, and all of the barriers we’re met with when accessing this part of ourselves, we’re bound to feel a little uncomfortable. We want to start by discussing discomfort as an opportunity for growth. Discomfort doesn’t have to be a threat when it exists in a safe, supportive environment. We want to meet discomfort with curiosity and compassion, to tune into the lessons our own discomfort can teach us.

From there, we’ll discuss all things consent; how it can look and sound, but also how it can feel in our bodies. Consent from an embodied perspective, if you will, and how we can each develop our own tools for checking in with our own relationship to consent.

After all this discussion and thinking and feeling, we’ll have a well deserved break, and then we’ll get creative and make some art to honour our sexual selves! Art supplies provided.

Week 2:

Self As Container: Boundaries, Your Physical Body, and Navigating Healthcare

This one will focus on getting clear on the container of your body; where it begins, where it ends, and all of the stuff that makes it yours.

Containers have boundaries; the walls and structure that keep stuff in, and other stuff out. They define what is within (us) and what is outside (not us), and a container is only useful if it has this physical barrier between self and other. Unfortunately, our world loves to poke holes in those barriers and weasel it’s way in, through, and around, like weeds under the fence around a garden.

For Week 2, we’ll spend some time on boundaries, learning what they can look like in relation to our bodies and our pleasure. We’ll discuss how to establish our boundaries, communicate our boundaries, and how to navigate boundaries as they change and shift - because they always do.

From here, we’ll spend some time on learning about our physical bodies and how terminology can play such a large role in our relationship to what’s inside our container. Then, we’ll have a chat about medical self-advocacy because let’s be real, advocating for ourselves when navigating the healthcare system can feel completely impossible.

It’s your container, you get to decide what goes in it, what gets thrown out of it, and who gets access to it.

Week 3:

Swiping Right: All Things Dating!

Meeting people is hard y’all! This week is all about dating.

We’ll have a chat about all of the barriers that come up when we’re seeking connection based on your unique needs and experiences. Chances are, you’re not alone, so this is a time to come together and get out all our frustrations with the infinite world of dating.

Dating can feel so frustrating and stressful, but there are ways to go about it that meet your own needs and desires.

From dating apps, to IRL dating, speed dating, community groups, and all the other ways we can meet and connect with people, we’ll develop tools together for how to make dating feel sustainable, grounded, and fun. We’ll chat about all the different forms of connection and intimacy we can have, aside from the way society conditions us to believe that romantic, monogamous partnerships are the most important. And on that note, we’ll create lots of space to discuss non-monogamy, and different relationship structures and dynamics.

There is no “one-size-fits-all” for dating. Dating looks different for everyone, let’s talk about it!

Week 4:

Playtime: Self Pleasure and Discovering Your Kinks

Sex is play! Let’s get curious!

Sex is often treated as some super serious, scary, intimidating thing in our world, but there really is so much play and silliness possible when we can experiment with our pleasure in safe ways.

Week 4 will crack open the world of kink and masturbation, however that looks for you. Kink is often deemed “taboo” in the sex negative culture we live in, but we’re here to remind you that there is nothing wrong with you, and there are no “weird kinks” - just weird societal narratives and unsafe sex practices.

Safety is key for exploring kinks both with yourself and others, so we’ll get in-depth about how to create a safe environment to explore with your own body first, and then bring others into the mix if you choose to.

You’ll have the opportunity to interact with various sex toys and products, and ask all the questions about what to use when, where, why and how.

There are no silly questions, get it off your chest!
