Event description

Facilitated by somatic therapist and sex educator Taylor Neal, and hosted by Project Home Unity, this group journey is trauma informed, and developed through an intersectional, queer, and accessible lens for all bodies, genders and identities to sink into what sexuality and pleasure means to them.

Week 1 (03/07/2025 6:00pm-9:00pm):

Week 1 is a juicy welcoming into the world of existing in shared group space centered on sexuality and personal experience. It can feel edgy and uncomfortable to enter such tender space with others, so we spend lots of time building a group contract, feeling into discomfort, regulating our nervous systems, and inquiring into an embodied experience of consent using The Wheel Of Consent and somatic practices. You will leave with a thorough understanding of what to expect from the space, a workbook to keep with you, and some tools to support yourself in regulating and integrating both in the space and at home. We’ll also do a creative activity as a group to welcome our sexual selves to the space. The intention in Week 1 is to land.

Week 2 (10/07/2025 6:00pm-9:00pm):

Week 2 is all about your body as a container, exploring what feels good coming in and interacting with your container, and how to set boundaries that feel good and aligned to hold your container precious. We’ll experiment with giving and receiving “no” and self advocacy, explore sexual communication, and have a play with using different language for our bodies as a group, unpack narratives we have around language, and bringing ourselves closer to communication and terminology that reflects how we feel in our bodies. The intention of week 2 is curiosity.

Week 3 (17/07/2025 6:00pm-9:00pm):

Week 3 is all about dating, and since the experience of navigating dating and relationships is so nuanced and diverse, we will hold ample space for personal experience and perspective, sharing, reflecting, and feeling for our intentions in forming connections in our lives. We’ll unpack the relationship between how we date and colonial systems of oppression, how we can soften into our own experiences, how to meet people, how we can think outside the box when it comes to the types of relationships we have, and how we can become aware of our own patterns in ways that help move us closer to our desires. The intention for week 3 is to connect.

Week 4 (24/07/2025 6:00pm-9:00pm):

Week 4 is all about connecting to the pleasure that lives in our body, and takes a somatic approach to feeling more pleasure in our daily lives. We will try some embodiment practices for connecting to sensuality, have lots of time to share and reflect, take a look at Emily Nagoski’s breakdown of sexual context, learn about our accelerators and brakes, and build some tools for how to create context for our sexual selves to feel safe, sensual, and seen, both solo and with others. The intention of week 4 is to feel.
