Pleasure-Ability Volume II Bundle: All Five Weeks
Description
This workshop is open to anyone who attended any number of Pleasure-Ability workshops in the past (in 2024 or 2025!).
Pleasure-Ability is a 9 week container split into two volumes developed with the intention of uncovering your authentic relationship to pleasure and sexuality in the body you’re in, just as you are, because pleasure is your Birth Right.
Volume 2 is a 5 week container to follow Volume 1, and aims to dive deeper into specific topics such as body confidence, identity politics and the politics of pleasure, kink and personal experience of sexuality and desire, how to build desire, how to communicate our needs and desires, eroticism and the erotic mind, masturbation and self pleasure, and how to uncover your fantasies and bring your full sexual self out from the shadows.
Facilitated by somatic therapist and sex educator Taylor Neal, and hosted by Project Home Unity, this group journey is trauma informed, and developed through an intersectional, queer, decolonial and accessible lens for all bodies, genders and identities to sink into what sexuality and pleasure means to them
Week 1:
Week 1 is a return to the space and a settling back in for those of us that have previously joined some of Volume 1 (pre-requisite). We will recap the Vol. 1 content to refresh out brains and bring us back into the rhythm of our pleasure bodies, we’ll create fresh group agreements for how to be in the space together, and then we’ll dive into the Politics of Pleasure. How does your identity shape your relationship to Pleasure? How does intersectionality show up in pleasure practices and sexuality? How can we honour all of the intersections of our unique identities and bodies and work to critique the various systems of oppression that tell us who pleasure is for? How can we celebrate difference rather than ignore it? What does “wellness” look like to each of us? Group discussions and activities will follow this path of exploration, and we’ll end with a fun group crafting activity because we are who we are!!
Week 2:
Week 2 is The Body Week, all about body image and the stories our bodies hold. We wanted an entire week to be dedicated to body image because how we exist in relationship without bodies deserves time, space, and care, as part of our pleasure experience. We’ll learn how to use descriptive, neutral language to relate to our bodies, body neutrality, how to map sensation and experience with curiosity and empathy in our bodies, how movement can be for pleasure rather than punishment, and hear the stories each of our bodies hold with presence, care, and compassion in a safe, confidential environment.
Week 3:
Week 3 is for Unearthing Eroticism, whatever that means to you. We’ll look at some research-backed methods of unpacking The Erotic Mind, feel into our own experiences of eroticism, the 5 tools for erotic embodiment, and get curious about our own Core Erotic Themes. Building on erotic energy, we’ll also take a look at the experiences of lust, limerance, and love, the differences, how these experiences feel in our bodies, and how to stay grounded when we’re experiencing any of these erotic states of being.
Week 4:
Week 4 is all about masturbation and how to build a juicy self-loving routine based on choice, awareness, and embodiment that feels joyful, exciting and accessible for you. We’ll look at what makes masturbation “mindful” and why to bother changing how you masturbate (change how you wank, change your life). Pulling from the Body Electric modality, we’ll look at how to build a regular pleasure practice that brings you into your body and supports you feeling good in your skin, and then chat how to embrace luxury and romance toward yourself, how to use the 5 tools for embodiment to deepen your pleasure, and finally the vast landscape of porn and its usefulness and challenges.
Week 5:
Closing off Pleasure-Ability strong, we’ll spend our 5th week exploring the weird, wild and wonderful world of Kink. Kink as a practice and concept can mean so many different things, so we want to give space for personal experiences, questions, and group exploration while offering our signature educational and embodied framework. Looking at shadow work, where kinks come from, fantasy, core erotic themes, kink dynamics outside of sex, and of course, aftercare, we’ll do our best to create space for curiosity, exploration, and most importantly, safety. We’ll even have many different kink-based tools and objects in the space for folks to interact with and feel into - it’s all about accessibility, play, and creating access to choice in our pleasure lives. Yum!
