Event description

Pleasure, sex and intimacy are essential parts of our health and wellbeing. However discussions about pleasure often exclude people from outside of cisgender, heterosexual and/or able-bodied experiences. In this FREE interactive workshop, we will be exploring the importance of pleasure and its role in our lives, as well as practical skill building to increase your confidence approaching and accessing pleasure. Passionfruit Sensuality Shop will also be presenting their range of accessible sex toys and accessories.

This workshop is for women and gender diverse people with disabilities and their allies who want to better understand the importance of pleasure and to make their intimacy more accessible and inclusive.

Topics that will be explored include:

  • Pleasure as a human right
  • How pleasure impacts health
  • Ways to think about pleasure
  • Consent and communication
  • Sex toys as accessibility tools
  • Resources and services available

This workshop is brought to you by Women’s Health In the North in collaboration with Women with Disabilities Victoria. This project is funded by the North Eastern Public Health Unit.

Please note that this same workshop is running on the 13th, 20th and 27th of March in various locations.
