Plot Play: Ideas to Launch Day 1

This event has passed Get tickets

Event description

Central Coast creatives are invited to join us for the start of a ten-day adventure.

We will make a short movie.

We will submit it to the Focus on Ability Short Film Festival: https://www.focusonability.com.au/

The movie will celebrate diversity in our community.

Day one is all about sparking creativity.

We will take part in fun activities that help us think about new ideas.

The activities will help us with our storytelling.

Everyone will be invited to share personal experiences and their thoughts on disability.

"Plot Play: Ideas to Launch" brings artists with and without disability together.

We will look out for ideas that bring our communities together.

Day One isn't just about starting a movie production. It is about connecting, learning, and growing together.

You might be into story telling.

Or

You might just want to be part of something meaningful.

There is a spot for you in our creative circle.

Join us as we come together one idea at a time.

We have ten days to create a movie. You can come to some of the days or all of them!

It is helpful to me to book your free ticket to help me manage my anxiety and to help me understand any access needs you might have.

Accessibility information:

The venue is accessible via a ramp and has a wheelchair accessible toilet.

The venue is accessible by bus and is 2.5 kilometres from Woy Woy train station.

We will limit numbers so that we can work as a small group.

This project is part of The Pen Residency, by Central Coast Council's Laycock Street Community Theatre.

Here is an outline of what will we do on the 10 days: make sure you book a ticket for each day individually or email projectsforpurpose@gmail.com with your dates and access needs.
