p/M invites you this next April 8th, 2023: to a unique and culturally rich dance experience in a historical neoclassical building in Seattle that holds powerful historical significance as the former Immigration and Naturalization Services (INS) building .A great opportunity to celebrate the contributions of immigrants to American society while also enjoying the beauty and elegance of a historic building.
Additionally, this private event offers a mystical and minimalistic avant-garde music experience with rhythms curated by a highly respected Artist/DJ/Producer from the West Coast, PAULO. This would be a great opportunity to explore and connect with others who share an interest in underground house music, as well as cultural heritage.
Built in 1932, the former INS Building in the CID has a rich and varied history, having been repurposed as a creative arts space called Inscape Arts after standing empty for six years. The space is now home to over 125 tenants, making it the largest working arts and creative space in Seattle. Given the building's history as the "Ellis Island of the Northwest," participating in this event could be a great way to honor the immigrant experience and the contributions of immigrants to the city of Seattle and beyond.

Paulo is an electronic producer whose music, though often classified as minimal, blends classic elements of jazz, funk, blues, and latin swing with future-facing elements of house, techno, hip-hop, and nu wave. Paulo’s philosophy is, if the music is good, it’s good. Period. Refusing to be mired in the restraints and minutiae of infinitely more complex electronic music genres, his tracks range from the bright sax and sexy breakbeat of Flex Your Consciousness to the heavy bass swing and eerie synthwork of Oort - Original Mix .
Written with the dance floor in mind, all of Paulo’s tunes have one thing in common– a relentless, effortless, creamy groove. It’s a cadence that reverberates throughout his life– a lust for forward motion that reminds us all to remain resilient in the face of adversity. Inspired by observation and tinted with experience, each of Paulo’s tracks is chapter in his edition of the story of everything. It’s a dark universe he’s created, but also one of fantastic imagination.
