PMW Industry Training: Consulting, Engineering & Logistics

Our Industry Training is a dynamic program tailored for professional migrant women seeking to re-establish themselves or elevate their careers within the Consulting, Engineering, and Logistics sectors.

Across three (3) interactive in-person sessions, participants will delve into key industry insights, skill enhancements, and career advancement strategies. Through in-person engagement, attendees will benefit from personalised guidance and networking opportunities. Moreover, seasoned professionals will share their firsthand experiences, providing invaluable perspectives on navigating the sector's nuances.

This program aims to equip participants with the knowledge, tools, and connections necessary to confidently pursue and excel in their career aspirations within the operations, engineering and logistics sectors.

Program Details:

This program includes 3 sessions at Melbourne Business School (MBS), Murra Theatre, from 5.30 to 7.30 pm.

Session 1: Thursday, 15 August

  • Topic: Your unique value as a professional migrant (values, purpose, skills)
  • Guest Speakers:

Session 2: Thursday, 22 August

  • Topic: Personal Branding and Storytelling
  • Guest Speakers:

Session 3: Thursday, 29 August

  • Topic: Discovering the hidden job market (how to develop professional networks)
  • Guest Speakers:
    • Marianne Brennan- Senior Project Manager at the Department of Transport and Planning of Victoria
    • Afsaneh Rashidi - Senior Consultant at Right Lane Consulting

    Panel Discussion and Q&As: Each session will end with an engaging panel discussion featuring two industry professionals, each sharing their unique professional journey in Australia. Gain insights into their diverse experiences and perspectives and get the opportunity to participate and delve deeper into the topics discussed by asking any questions to the speakers.

    Networking Time: The perfect opportunity to meet more diverse women from the community, grow your professional networks and build meaningful connections that lead to real opportunities
