Originally hailing from Scotland, now based in Copenhagen, Perko has solidified himself as an artist to follow. The FELT label founder is known for his textural productions and off-kilter remixes. Perko’s sound draws as much influence from sound art as it does modern club music; characterized by layers of subtly shifting chords, field recordings, and delicate polyrhythms. 

Perko first appeared on the Glasgow-based label Numbers, in 2018; with his debut release: NV Auto. The 7-track EP saw the producer “mining the groves between his favourite genres for building blocks of inspiration”, and was described simply by Perko as “density, noise, dust, distortion, space…”. In 2020, Perko released two projects on the Copenhagen-based label Posh Isolation: The City Ring and Galerie. 

Being a touring artist and a monthly host on Rinse FM France, Perko has blessed the ears of many. Perko has also performed alongside ambient-experimental artist Huerco S. of West Mineral Ltd. and appeared frequently on lineups and guest mixes for UK-based underground club music pioneers, Hessle Audio. Much like his carefully curated selections and guest mixes, Perko’s own music merges the rhythm and tempo of UK garage with dub chords and ambient techno moods. Linking the sound of ‘90s chillout rooms to the post-dubstep experimentation of the late ‘00s, Perko has created a unique sound for himself through his harmonious intertwining of genres
