Podiatry Neuro Assessment and Treatment Course (Perth WA)

The Podiatry Neuro Assessment and Treatment course provides the Podiatrist with an in depth understanding and the practical skills to perform a range of neurological assessment procedures and treatment techniques to address a range of peripheral nerve injuries.

The nervous system can be a complex and intimidating system to understand and work with, but it is critical for effective assessment and treatment planning.

This course will guide participants through the structure and function of the peripheral nervous system in a hands on manner, along with neurological assessment procedures such as sensory and motor testing, reflex testing and neurodynamic / tension testing.
In addition to developing these skills, participants will gain an understanding of what these assessment findings mean and what we as practitioners can do with that information in the clinical setting. Participants will also learn a range of manual therapy techniques, neurodynamic techniques including self care neurodynamic mobilisation and soft tissue mobilisation techniques.

This course will equip the podiatrist with a thorough understanding of the nervous system including a large skillset of manual techniques that can support and promote recovery in patient with neurological dysfunction and pain.

This course is suitable for Podiatrist's and Podiatric students. 

The course runs from 9.00am to 4pm both days.
