Come along to this event to hear a reading of selected poems reflecting on what it means to be human in a complex, turbulent and beautiful world. Books on sale for $20 during the evening.

“I started reading Poems for When the World is Ending on my sixtieth birthday. Sixty is a strange waymark for me. I know I still have much to contribute and meaning to find, but I also know that what I have considered “the big things” that remain unrealised must now stay that way. It is tempting to believe “I am leftovers”.

It is into this context of my life that Will Small’s poems arrived as a framework for understanding and a mechanism for meaning. My need to “feast on validation” is beginning to diminish; I now “want to treasure the simple moments”. Will has helped me to accept that I am not leftovers but “I am proof of abundance”.
