Poet in Residence - Micropoetry Workshops - Kathryn Reese
Event description
Your world in one breath. Join local poet Kathryn Reese for these generative poetry workshops. Kathryn will introduce short forms such as haiku, cherita, the one-line poem, prose poem and micro-fiction. Kathryn will provide writing time for you to create your own. We'll discuss variations and building short works into longer pieces. Kathryn will also provide a list of some journals and lit mags open to submissions of short form writing. Then we'll have an optional "micro-open-mic" to share the smallest poems!
Kathryn Reese is a poet living on Peramangk land in Adelaide, South Australia. She works in medical science and enjoys solo road trips, hiking and chasing frogs to record their calls for science.
