POETRY AT THE BAY - enjoy a convivial evening of poetry and music with:

performance poet Jacqui Malins
an open mic for local poets, and
music from four-piece Emily and the Millers.

Jacqui Malins will perform 'Matter of Life', a show that takes you into uncanny museums, suburban streets, deep water and your own body. Using poetry, performance and projections, Matter of Life happens at the place where science, story and wonder collide.

Local poets and writers are invited to share their work at the open mic.

Doors open at 7pm for a 7.30pm start.

Jacqui is also running a hands-on poetry and spoken word workshop that afternoon, where you can undertake guided writing and editing exercises, and build the skills and confidence to share your writing with impact! Jacqui Malins is a multidisciplinary artist and poet, living and making on the lands of the Ngunawal and Ngambri people, in Canberra.
