Event description

The Booranga Writers' Centre together with The Curious Rabbit present our monthly literature reading and open mic with poets Chloe Spear, Linda Albertson and Kai Jensen from the NSW Far South Coast.

Chloe Spear has been writing poetry for some years and has begun preparing poems for publication. She is the organiser of the Bermagui Poets and read several poems at the recent Four Winds music and spoken word festival in Bermagui.

Linda Albertson's first collection of poetry, Overdue, was published by Picaro (Ginninderra Press) in 2019. Linda has read her poetry at a number of readings on the Far South Coast, including at the Four Winds music and spoken word festival.

Kai Jensen is a poet who has lived at Wallaga Lake, near Bermagui, on the NSW Far South Coast since 2017. Kai is reviving his poetic practice after a long hiatus. In the 1990s and 2000s his poetry appeared in Southerly, Westerly, Overland and The Age. Kai also has form as a performance poet.

After the reading, all attendees will be invited to share an original poem of their own.
