Join us for Poetry in the Gallery's first birthday party! Just last October, Poetry in the Gallery graced the stage of Studio Channel Islands Art Center and kickstarted a literary revolution (probably). Now, a year has passed, and it's time to celebrate in style.
Come and perform on the open mic or simply support the local poets who have helped grow our literary community.
Our featured reader this month will BD Salvas! Bethlehem-Dimanche (BD) Salvas is a poet and fractal artist from Ventura County, California. With every piece of work BD hopes to represent her heritage while also creating her own path. Her poems can be best described as short and chaotic glimpses into her life.
Poetry in the Gallery is free to attend for all students, members and performers (including the open mic).
