POETRY MONTH X DARWIN JAZZ POETRY
Description
In the vein of London’s SpitNights and the Darwin Fringe Festival award-winning show Under Skin, travel maker press, in partnership with Red Room Poetry, brings you a cabaret of music, spoken word and visual artistry that crackles with live, improvised energy.
Celebrating a spectrum of voices, styles, and lived experiences, four Darwin poets present their interpretations of the theme – The World Beneath – their words shaping sound in real time as the jazz musicians and aerial divas respond, creating chemistry on stage.
Featuring Jaemie Page, Louise Benton, Sophie Benkemoun, and Tali White accompanied by musicians Adele Mammone (double bass), Jack Tinapple (sax & flute), Anthony Sherwood (drums), aerial artists Dawn Walsh and Shelley Eder, and Teghan Hughes as MC, this is a night not to be missed!
