About the artist:

Fatimah Asghar is a writer and filmmaker. They are the writer and co-creator of Brown Girls, an Emmy-Nominated web series. They are the author of If They Come For Us and the co-editor of Halal If You Hear Me.  In 2023, Asghar was the inaugural winner for the Carol Shields Prize for Fiction.
