A Poetry and Spoken Word Fundraising Event on the Eve of India's Independence Day

On the eve of India's Independence Day, we extend a hand of friendship.
The floods have swept through Assam again. Homes gone under, families displaced, volunteers still wading through the aftermath long after the cameras have left. Independence Day reminds us that the ties binding the diaspora to India do not thin with distance. This is our way of honouring them.
Join us for an hour of poetry and spoken word that holds grief and hope in the same breath. An evening of warmth, community, and solidarity with the friends and tireless volunteers rebuilding lives in Assam.
One hundred percent of donations fund ration kits and medical supplies, delivered directly on the ground. Minimum donation $10, and every dollar reaches Assam. The Zoom link is emailed after registration.
