POGOH Community Slow Roll: Homewood
Description
Join us Saturday, May 16th, from 10 AM to 12 PM for a 4-6 mile community ride through Pittsburgh's historic Homewood and surrounding areas.
All rides start in Homewood at the Tioga St &Â N Homewood Ave POGOH Station. Each month will feature a new route and connect to surrounding neighborhoods.
Meet at 10 am for complimentary pre-ride coffee from Everyday Café and donuts from Dana’s Bakery. Before we start our Slow Roll, we’ll enjoy coffee and conversation, followed by a safety presentation and ride overview.
All Slow Rolls are led by LCI Instructors Brother Lloyd Cheatom and Coach Neil Walker along with POGOH’s Community Ambassadors: Homewood Children’s Village, Homewood YMCA, and Homewood Community Engagement Center.
POGOH Slow Rolls are no-drop, social rides that roll at a comfortable pace so everyone can enjoy the experience. Whether you’re a seasoned rider or just getting comfortable on a bike, this is an inclusive space to ride, meet new people, and see the city from a different perspective.
Free POGOH bike rentals are available for those who reserve a bike at registration.
All bikes are welcome. All riders are welcome. Helmets are encouraged.
By registering for this event, participants agree to POGOH's terms and conditions.
Age: POGOH bikes are available for riders 14+, but anyone under 14 is welcome to join the ride with their own bike and a parent or guardian.
Photo/Video Notice: We will have a photographer joining us at events and use photos and video from the events for our social media and marketing materials.Â
