Claire Harvey is The Australian’s Editorial Director and Host of The Front daily news podcast. She is a renowned Australian journalist, having started her career in The Australian’s Canberra bureau in 1994 and having since covered major news stories working as a reporter, foreign correspondent, deputy editor and columnist in Australia and overseas.

Hedley Thomas, National chief correspondent, The Australian
Hedley Thomas is The Australian’s national chief correspondent, specialising in investigative reporting with an interest in legal issues, the judiciary, corruption and politics. He has won eight Walkley awards including two Gold Walkleys; the first in 2007 for his investigations into the fiasco surrounding the Australian Federal Police investigations of Dr Mohamed Haneef, and the second in 2018 for his podcast, The Teacher's Pet, investigating the 1982 murder of Sydney mother Lynette Dawson. His other podcasts include The Night Driver, Shandee’s Story, Sick to Death and Bronwyn.

Karina Berger, Audio Producer, The Australian
Karina Berger works as an audio producer and co-investigator with The Australian’s national chief correspondent, Hedley Thomas, investigating the unsolved murders of Australian women through long-form podcasts. Since joining The Australian in June 2025, Karina has worked on the Bronwyn, Shandee’s Legacy, Sick To Death and The Poisoned Wife podcast series. Karina was previously the Executive Director of the ACT Coroner’s Court. She also worked for 17 years as a litigation and dispute resolution lawyer with the Australian Government Solicitor in Canberra.
