Celebrating 50 Years of Political Economy at the University of Sydney

The Discipline of Political Economy at the University of Sydney warmly invites you to a special event commemorating its 50th anniversary. This occasion marks five decades of pioneering scholarship, critical inquiry, and public engagement in Political Economy — a field that has shaped generations of students, researchers, and policy thinkers.

This milestone event will feature a keynote address and alumni panel showcasing the diverse paths and contributions of our graduates.

This event offers an opportunity to celebrate the legacy and future of political economy at Sydney, reconnect with colleagues and alumni, and engage in forward-looking dialogue about the discipline’s future.
