Political Improv Jam

This event has passed Get tickets

Event description

Note: The April event had to be cancelled due to illness. May and June are still going ahead, and you can register early!

Open to anyone who enjoys exploring characters with strong opinions and spicy scenes. This will be an informal jam. As political improv can be sensitive, we want participants to feel safe - so no homophobic, sexist, "othering" - however as this is an exploration of views (not a debate), please be prepared to hold space for one another during difficult conversations. We welcome improvisers from underrepresented and marginalised communities to join us in exploring how our improvisation can be more subversive, political and connected to the struggles of daily life.

This workshop is for anyone who has completed a solid grounding in two-person scene-work and is a member of the Perth Improvised Theatre Society co-op.

Places are capped at 12 people for an intensive experience.

When:
12:30pm - 3:00pm. Please arrive 10 minutes early so we can start on time.
Where:
South Perth Learning Centre, 96 South Terrace, South Perth 6151

This workshop is Pay What You Feel. We recommend $5-10 to help cover venue costs.
