Discover the incredible world of pollinating insects at the historic Como House Gardens this spring to celebrate Australian Pollinator Week 2026.

Join us on a special spring pollinator walk through the beautiful Como House Gardens.

The walk will be guided by entomologist Dr Ian Smith to explore all the many important flying, crawling and wriggling insects that pollinate our garden blooms.

Attendees will be supported to observe pollinating insects with a range of observational tools and take photos using the free iNaturalist app to help document the diverse species found.

What to bring:

a smartphone or camera to take photos of insects
- download the free iNaturalist app before the event from Apple App Store or Google Play and set up your free account (watch our 2021 iNaturalist training video to learn more about using the app)
comfortable shoes for strolling through the gardens
weather-appropriate clothing.

This event is a collaboration between the City of Stonnington and the National Trust of Australia (Victoria).

Bookings are essential as spaces are limited.
