Event description

Pollinators Garden Walk

Insects are often overlooked or assumed to be pests, yet they play a host of crucial roles in our landscapes, including on farms and in our gardens.

  • What do you know about native bees?
  • Ever wondered about wasps?
  • Perhaps butterflies, moths, beetles or even flies take your fancy?

Join Kiewa Catchment Landcare Groups and local educator Karen Retra to find out about the diversity of pollinator insects, how they benefit us and the environment as well as what we can do to support them. Karen is an environmental educator with a passion for encouraging curiosity and connection to the natural world. She has a love for quirky, under-appreciated and overlooked species.
