Since 1964, the Pollys Club has been providing an inclusive, safe, fun and friendly community dance space thus helping to address social isolation in the LGBTIQA+ community. The funds we raise are donated to charities focused on men’s health, women’s health, youth health, mental health and animal welfare.

What to expect

Each dance is themed and we have best costume prizes so dress to theme or come as you please - however you feel most comfortable.

Doors open at 7pm. We will scan your ticket (on paper or your phone) and give you a numbered wristband. Hang on to that because the number on your wristband is used for the lucky door prize. Purchase some tickets for our fabulous raffles and then make your way into the hall and find your seat.

For dances at Marrickville Town Hall, we allow BYO food and drink but you can also purchase drinks, soft drinks and our ever-popular toasties from our snack bar. Tap water, ice, coffee and tea are available free - see our Snack Bar Menu. (Our July dance is at the UNSW Roundhouse which has a full bar and food for purchase, so no BYO is allowed at this event).

Our DJ is on the decks from 7pm so settle in, have a dance and get ready for our fabulous 30-45 minute amateur drag show from 9:30pm. Best costume prizes are presented immediately after the show and the lucky door prize and winning raffle ticket numbers are announced. If you're a winner, collect your prize from the lobby as soon as it suits you - we are happy to hold them until you leave.

Our DJ returns to the decks after the show and takes us through to midnight when we finish up.
