Pool Lifeguard Course (Dec 2026)

Become a Qualified Pool Lifeguard!

Gain a nationally recognised qualification while developing practical skills in water safety and emergency response.

Delivered by Allen's Training (RTO 90909), this two-day course at the Caulfield Campus Aquatic Centre combines practical and theory-based training in aquatic supervision, rescue techniques, emergency procedures and CPR. Through realistic scenarios and hands-on activities, participants will build the knowledge, confidence and skills required of a professional pool lifeguard.

Students will also develop valuable leadership, teamwork and communication skills while gaining insight into the important role lifeguards play in keeping aquatic environments safe.

The course includes 4–6 hours of online pre-coursework and is combined with a First Aid qualification (HLTAID011 Provide First Aid).

Open to students in Years 10-12.

Program Costs: $300 (includes First Aid requirement)
