LION presents ‘POP IS POLITICAL’

Who says popstars shouldn’t be involved in politics? We’re here to re-awaken the public consciousness, stand firm in speaking the truth, and make it known once and for all: ‘POP IS POLITICAL’. We feel that it’s our duty as artists to speak up for important issues, and this duty becomes magnified as the intersections of our identities are weaponised against us; enough is enough!

This live music fundraiser on Dec 12th at Mamma Chen’s features amazing local pop acts Mareya, Racerage, JXCKY, Ed Moon and LION.

Join us from 6-11pm to raise funds for the Mob Strong fund (First Nations mutual aid), Bakri’s mutual aid fund for Sudan, Focus Congo and the Tigray Disaster Relief fund. 

Waged - $20 + bf

Unwaged - For those of y'all who aren't working full-time or experiencing financial hardship <3 - $10 + bf

Mamma Chen’s is an accessible venue. There is a ramp entrance on Albert St (Main entrance), as well as an accessible toilet.
