If you have that Christmas Diva inside you, longing to see the light, Adult Glee Club is holding space for your fabulousness.
We know not everyone can commit to weekly rehearsals and that’s why we have created our own version of a Glee one-night-stand. Pop Up Glee. Your commitment is only 90 minutes, with drink in hand, guided by the best-of-the-best of Music Directors, Darina Chakarova.
Plus, our venue is the coolest place you have ever heard of. That English Place is on the countdown to being demolished and they are determined to pack in as many memories as possible. Quote: “Folks, we won’t be here forever… This English Place is a higgledy-piggledy, unpretentious place… We love a saucy secret, but we don’t kiss and tell, because we are That English Place. Today’s news is tomorrow’s chip paper.”
No one need know you were ever there… it was just you and the music.
Pop Up Glee is the perfect opportunity for you to unleash your voice, your love of music, in a safe and uplifting space for one night only. We want shower singers, car sound-trackers, strolling hummers, frustrated show-ponies and more, to join us for 90 minutes of the best social and community singing you can find.
We not only bring the vibe of being at a gig… but you are the gig. We sing, learn and perform, all in the space of an hour and a half, with no pressure to be perfect, just to connect through music and enjoy being in a room with people who get it too. Through singing, beverages and laughter!
Led by superstar conductor, arranger, pianist and inspiration magnet Darina Chakarova, you will feel you are surrounded by friends by the time we get everyone to lend their voices to our amazing final performance.
We can not wait to meet you! Where you can sing freely without recrimination.
