Pop Up Project Class (Thursday 31st Oct)

Need help with alterations, mending, or following a pattern? Looking to insert a zip, transform an op shop find, revamp a pair of jeans, or learn how to darn? Or maybe you just want to enhance your sewing skills in a supportive and creative setting. Our Pop-Up Project Class is back!

Designed to support all your creative sewing needs, our project-based classes take place in a welcoming environment with a maximum of four participants. A member of the Upcycle Newcastle team will be there to guide you through your personal projects. You'll have access to our full range of equipment, including sewing machines (even semi-industrial ones), overlockers and cutting tables. Join us for a fun and inspiring sewing experience.

DETAILS:

• Cost $40 Thursday 5pm-7:30pm. Pop-Up Project Class is also available for 7th November (See our Humanitix profile for more details.)
• Materials from Upcycle Newcastle are not included in this cost (you are welcome to purchase fabrics and haberdashery as you go).
• Project Classes are best suited for the keen sewer with some experience that wants to spend some dedicated time on personal projects over several months.
• This is not a beginner sewing class. Best suited for people with some sewing experiences.

Please Note: These project classes are created using circular economy principles. This means we love using many recycled and reclaimed fabrics, and haberdashery items for our sewing projects. We are deeply passionate about diverting textile waste from landfill and we do this through upcycling.
