Love movies? Ever wanted to make one?
Head down to Popcorn Shorts at the Pivotonian Cinema on Saturday 5th September.
Popcorn Shorts is a free event for people under 26 where you can watch awesome short films by local young filmmakers, get hands-on with real cameras and film gear, star in your own micro film, and meet other creative young people. Chat with members of the Djilang Film Collective, discover what goes on behind the scenes, and explore your own filmmaking potential.
Plus, enjoy a drink and free popcorn or a choc top while soaking up the relaxed atmosphere with your friends. Whether you're a film fanatic or just curious to give it a go, Popcorn Shorts is your chance to watch, create and connect.

- What films will be screening?
You're in for a treat! There will be five short films all created by young people living in Geelong:
Ka(ibig)an
Clover
Traditional Thing
Make Time (world premiere)
Paper Flowers (world premiere)
Each film will screen 3 times during the afternoon event.
- Do I need to arrive early to get a good seat?
No - there will be other films screening before our event so there's no point in arriving early.
We will welcome you into the foyer at 1pm. The hands-on experiences with Nina and Kiko from the Djilang Film Collective will be running all afternoon in the foyer.
Film screenings in the cinema will commence at 1.15pm with each film being screened 3 times during the afternoon.
