PORANGUI

Chakaruna World Bridging Tour Concert & Music is Medicine Workshop

THE CONCERT

Date: Saturday 8th Feb
Time: 7pm-10pm
Venue: Second Story Studios
Address: 222 Johnston St, Collingwood

Prepare to embark on a transcendent journey with the world-renowned musician, healer, and educator Poranguí, as he graces Melbourne on Saturday 8th Feb at Second Story Studios. Accompanied by the visionary co-facilitator Ashley Klein, they extend an invitation to an embodied experience that seamlessly bridges the seen and unseen worlds. Through the universal language of music, dance, and authentic expression, Poranguí’s live improvised performances and Ashley’s spoken guidance coalesce with captivating visual projections, promising an unparalleled odyssey that leaves us more whole, alive, and deeply connected.

The Chakaruna World Bridging Tour draws its inspiration from the ancient Quechua concept of "Chakaruna," meaning World Bridger. "Chaka" represents the Bridge, while "Runa" symbolizes the People, together reflecting the sacred duty of forging connections between the tangible and the intangible, the Earth and the Spirit, the individual and the collective. Poranguí and Ashley, through this tour, beckon us to step into our own roles as Chakarunas, intricately weaving our spirits into the vibrant tapestry of life and synchronizing with the pulsating heartbeat of the Earth.

Join us for a soul-stirring celebration of interconnectedness and awakening. The Chakaruna World Bridging Tour is not merely a series of performances; it is a gateway to a more profound sense of being, a dance across the bridge of worlds that unites us in rhythm, harmony, and shared humanity.

THE WORKSHOP

Date: Sunday 9th Feb
Time: 3pm-6pm
Venue: Second Story Studios
Address: 222 Johnston St, Collingwood

Join Poranguí in an intimate journey as we deepen our connection to sound and vibration through his unique interactive vocal activation and body percussion workshop.

Drawing from Poranguí’s signature "Music is Medicine" retreat curriculum, this workshop is a celebration of the human body as the most intricate instrument, where rhythm, sound, and movement converge in a polyrhythmic dance of life. By embracing our unique voice and cultivating expression in a safe & celebratory container, we sing our souls and braid our voice together to amplify healing and beauty.

No experience necessary, this worksop is for all!
