PORQUÉNO SIX (Opening Night)
Event description
PORQUÉNO SIX: Exploring a sustainable world
Why not? That’s the question PORQUÉNO [pohr-keh-noh] has been asking since 2013. Now, 10 years on, the biennial art exhibition is back in November! This year, PORQUÉNO SIX will continue to explore the boundless potential of creativity with 15 selected artists embracing the explorative attitude of 'why not’.
The theme, An Artist Exploration of Sustainability, will inspire the daring exploration of nature, conservation, climate, renewables, waste, pollution, and our future on this planet. Artists are invited to freely express themselves through art, design and photography, while making a contribution to sustainable thinking.
This year we will be hosting our opening night on November 15th where we will have talks, music and you'll be able to immerse yourself in the artworks there and gather your own views on the theme of Sustainability.
All tickets to attend are pay what you want, these funds will be used to support us hosting the event at 107 Projects in Redfern and investing in the artists taking part.
Upstairs at 107 Projects
We will be hosting a talk by Climate Salad Founder and CEO, Mick Liubinskas.
Mick Liubinskas is a climate tech investor and advisor. He co-founded Climate Salad to help build climate-focused startups and help the world get to and beyond net-zero carbon emissions by 2050. He has helped build 100’s of tech companies as a co-founder and with Pollenizer, Startmate, muru-D and Austrade.
